When a man sees a sexual image it triggers dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that sends a "feel good" chemical throughout the nerve endings. The more they dabble in this sexual fantasy world the more desensitized they become of the effects of dopamine. Because of this they need to often go deeper into the sin or view pornography more often to get the same effect as they had before.

Onions do not stink nor do they make you cry unless you peel away the outer layer of skin. Healing is the same way. As my journey of healing crept on, there were times that it was easy to blame my broken dreams and trauma on my husband.

Myth 1
One author has said that sex is "his" main need and talking is "her" her main need. To believe this reduces men to only being sexual and women to only being talkative. This myth, along with the others, will result in men and women feeling they are in separate camps, enemies if you will, with competing needs. Is it really true that men don't like to talk and that women don't like sex?
