Restoring Hearts Women's Conference

Event date: 5/15/2021 Export event

Saturday, May 15

Dealing with a spouse’s struggle with sexual integrity, or another person they are in a close relationship with, is one of the most challenging experiences a woman will face. Quite often, women feel they are alone in their journey and that everyone, including God, has abandoned them.

Prodigals International is pleased to offer this unique half-day online conference for women who are facing the startling discovery of their husband’s sexual unfaithfulness – from pornography use to extramarital affairs – as well as for women who have been dealing with this issue long-term. Sometimes it is not the one they are married to, but a person they are in a relationship with (fiancée, son or father).

Keynote Speaker: Dr Stefanie Carnes

Doctor Carnes is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S) and the President of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), a training institute and professional organization for addiction professionals. She is also a senior fellow for Meadows Behavioral Healthcare where she works with sexually addicted clients and their families. As an author of numerous books and articles that focus on helping partners of addicts through the healing process, Dr. Carnes will be sharing at Restoring Hearts from her latest book Courageous Love: A Couples Guide to Conquering Betrayal.

SEMINARS or conferences are lead by experts, as with counseling or an intensive, but there is typically far less interaction between those who attend. A seminar is only community if we work to make it that. Try to attend with a couple of friends. Share about what you are learning. Meet someone new at the event. These are times of learning, to hear a new voice. We recommend trying to attend one every year or two, as a goal.

Seminars listed here specifically address healing and recovery from the affects of negative sexual behaviors.
